Here at Charon Coin Press we know you all on the edge of your seats just dying to find out who has been selected for State of Horror: Louisiana and State of Horror: North Carolina. That announcement will be coming soon as we continue to move through the selection process. So just a little while longer…
However, today we are happy to announce an exciting decision. After much discussion and a large selection of great stories, editor Jerry Benns of Charon Coin Press has decided to do two volumes for State of Horror: Louisiana. By having two volumes, we will be able to double the readers’ enjoyment of this awesome state of Louisiana.
As with the other State of Horror books, the extremely talented artist Natasha Alterici created incredible cover art for State of Horror: Louisiana. She captured the spooky, haunted feel of the bayou perfectly with one cover and her New Orleans cemetery is awe-inspiring. The authors will feel nothing but pride and pleasure having their stories in either of the books with Alterici’s amazing artwork.
Each volume of State of Horror: Louisiana will have 13 tales of horror. The plan is to release each volume a week apart, so no one has to wait to get their hands on these awesomely scary stories. In addition, the target date for release is the beginning of 2015, in plenty of time for the Mardi Gras season.
Very soon Charon Coin Press will be announcing the selections for both State of Horror: Louisiana volumes as well as State of Horror: North Carolina. Keep checking for those updates as you also keep in mind submissions are currently open for State of Horror: Tennessee with submissions opening in a couple of weeks for State of Horror: California.
